Engagement Agreement

THIS ENGAGEMENT AGREEMENT, made as of , between QUEST ACOUSTICAL INTERIORS (hereinafter referred to as “QAI”) and

The Client contracts QAI to provide the below listed goods and/or services to the described property and site location where initialed “Accepted” within the “Scope of Work” as follows:

SCOPE OF WORK

“Gold Level” Design Package
QAI will design a dedicated Home Theater room with requested theme for the above referenced Client’s property based
upon measurement and descriptions provided to QAI by the Client. Upon agreement by Client and QAI of the design
concept, QAI will provide Client with one set of the following CAD generated documents (additional sets of
documents may be requested by Client for an additional charge to be named by QAI upon request):

• Front, rear, and side elevations showing finish specifications
• Floor plan showing seating, chair and seating specifications
• Framing plans
• Top, Side and Front details for screen wall/stage build-out
• Raised platform/seating platform build-out
• Speaker mounting and details
• Projector cabinet details
• Low Voltage wiring diagram
• Electrical/Lighting plan
• Wall acoustic treatment plan
• Light fixture specifications
• Detailed Theme design
• Sound isolation framing
• HVAC layout
• Sound Isolation

These plans will incorporate speaker, screen, projector and component placement. One set of size D architecture plans will be provided. The plans will specify moldings and trim elements (chosen by either Client or QAI at request of Client), include fabric and paint samples if chosen by QAI, which are readily available to contractors. If fabric, paint, moldings and trim elements are chosen by Client, QAI cannot be held liable for any defects resulting in the theater design and build-out. At Client’s request, Client shall provide QAI with a list of preferred equipment and speakers designated by Client for use in the Home Theater.  Client shall provide QAI with accurate and detailed measurements of the proposed theater space prior to commencing work.  In addition to measurements, it is strongly recommended QAI be provided detailed photos of the space, along with appropriate and reasonable documentation of requested photos, of the space showing the existing walls, ceiling, door, plumbing, existing HVAC, stairways, structural support/load bearing walls/flooring and floor areas. Client may request QAI to acquire all measurements and documentation of proposed theater space at the hourly rate of $250.00 USD and the cost of travel to and from proposed location. Client requested revisions will be provided at the hourly rate of $250.00 (USD). Support after completion of this engagement will be restricted to general questions to clarify the intent of the design with reference to only the provided plans.  Follow on support in the form of project management, equipment consulting, contractor discussions, and calibration services are available as paid add-on's.  

Professional Fee: $6,500.00 (USD)   

Consulting Service (fixed price/quoted)
QAI shall provide the consulting services (project management, equipment consulting, contractor consulting, calibration service) on a fixed fee basis as specified in the Consulting Services attachment to this document.
